Job Description: Bravo Group is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to work on a wide variety of projects in the Commercial Buildings and Education sectors. We are looking for someone who is motivated and energetic that can mentor their support engineers and take a project from start to finish.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Guide, coordinate, and oversee the Mechanical engineering production activities for their project
- Make sound decisions and recommendations based good engineering practice
- Capable of communicating effectively with other departments within the organization and with clients
- Capable of working independently on technical matters pertaining to the field
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure all deliverables meet the overall project team requirements for project scope, schedule, and budget
- Perform site visits to assess the existing conditions
- Capable of overseeing and preparing technical reports for our clients
- Able to present your technical findings and recommendations to our clients
- Able to conceptualize the ideal HVAC system for the project and proceed to size and lay it out
- Able to prepare construction level drawings and reports
- Review all materials produced to ensure highly accurate deliverables
- Answer RFIs and review shop drawings for the project
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in New York
- Very good communication skills
- Proficient with AutoCAD. Experience with Revit is a plus
- Familiar with all relevant NYC Codes
- Competent in all conventional aspects of mechanical engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus 7+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Salary: $130,000-$170,000
